Two fully-equipped cafeterias offer valuable services to students and staff during the school year. The CFIS Cafeterias provide nutritious hot lunches and snacks that help our students reach their full academic potential.

Cafeteria Programmes & Services

Hot Lunch Programme

The CFIS Cafeterias (The Seed in elementary and The Core in secondary) are dedicated to providing a high quality, fresh, nutritious and moderately priced "pre-order” lunch programme for students in Grades 1 - 12.

Additionally, for Junior/Senior High students and staff, healthy snacks and beverages are available for purchase at the morning break and at lunch time in The Core.

Our goal is to serve meals that are nutritionally balanced and taste good. Menu selections are based on Canada's Food Guide for Healthy Eating. By ensuring access to nutritious foods, we contribute to the achievement of our students’ full academic potential, and to their life-long, healthy living choices.

Milk Programme

A daily milk programme is available for students attending Pre-School, Junior Kindergarten, Kindergarten and Grades 1-6. Standard 2%, chocolate milk and Vanilla Soy are available".  "Standard 2% and chocolate milk is available à la carte for Grades 7-12.

Pizza Lunch Days

Pizza Lunch Days, held monthly from September to June, offer students a special "Pizza Day" treat. This is a school-wide programme for students in Preschool, Junior Kindergarten, Kindergarten and Grades 1-12. Please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Birthday Program

Order a birthday snack from the cafeteria for your child’s birthday to share with their entire class. We do all the work and deliver them to the class. You get to relax! Cupcakes, muffins and popsicles/ice cream bars are available at a cost is $18 - $20 depending on what you order. We require at least four days notice for each order. Facilities

The 'Seed' - Elementary Cafeteria

Our fully functioning dining facility in our Elementary school accommodates up to 175 people. The kitchen is geared toward preparations for students and events with its range of equipment including stoves, dishwashers, microwaves, and a storage room to provide warm meals. Our dining hall can also be readily re-configured from a servery area to accommodate a variety of events from competitive and recreational sporting activities, theatrical and musical performances to lectures and presentations.

The 'Core' - Junior/Senior High Cafeteria

Our Junior/Senior High cafeteria provide the same amenities as our Elementary Cafeteria and accommodates up to 190 people.
