Junior High (7-9)

CFIS offers continuing French Immersion with Intensive Spanish for students in the Grades 7-9 Junior High programme. In addition to the program core courses, CFIS offers a full range of ISAA athletics, travel study programmes and a variety of enriching options. Our programs are taught by specialists, eager and dedicated to share their knowledge and experience.

Athletics

As members of the Independent Schools Athletic Association (ISAA) league, the CFIS Royals teams compete successfully in sports such as Cross Country Running, Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton, Floor Hockey, Soccer and Track & Field.

Advanced Placement

CFIS offers the Advanced Placement (AP) Program. Although AP courses are taken in Grade 12, we prepare students as early as Grade 7 by integrating key aspects into our courses.

Travel Studies

The Junior High students may participate in an optional cultural trip or possible exchange with visiting students.

GRADE 7 Trip to Québec City, Montreal & Ottawa. This trip aligns itself very well with the Grade 7 Études Sociales curriculum.

GRADE 8 Trip to Camp Summit in Squamish, British Columbia. This trip aligns itself very well with the Grade 8 Études Sociales curriculum.

GRADE 9 Trip to Costa Rica. Students experience the country, it's people and the local hispanic culture.

Extracurricular Activities

CFIS offers various extracurricular activities for Junior High students for further character and social development. These include dances, clubs, after-school sports, band, Student Council and more.
