The Foundation manages and protects the physical assets, specifically the building and the libraries.
More specifically, the Calgary International Language Foundation's mandate is to:
- Promote the advancement of education in the community;
- Promote the study of languages, including without limitation French and Spanish, by providing educational programmes, courses, seminars, conferences, symposia, materials and audiovisual materials for use by members of the public;
- Establish, maintain and operate a library facility to promote the study of languages by providing programmes, courses, seminars, materials and audiovisual materials for use by members of the public; and
- Establish, maintain and operate other educational facilities in support of the above noted objects.
