Last Day of School Thursday!
What You Need to Know
Thursday, December 22 is the last day of school before Winter Break! Here is what you need to know:
- Vesti-choix for all students (pyjama day for PreK-6!)
- Early dismissal at 11:30 am
- The CFIS buses will run their afternoon routes at 11:35 am
- There is no childcare after 11:30 am on Thursday or on Friday, December 23
Christmas Stocking Campaign: Deadline Tomorrow
2012-2013 Deposits... In Case You Missed it Yesterday
If you did not have your tuition deposits go through on December 15 - don't worry. We are still processing forms and the remainder of the deposits will go through with the next deposit January 15, 2012.

New Band Parents Committee
Want to get involved at CFIS but haven't found the right opportunity? Or perhaps you are already on a CFIS Community Builders (CCB) committee but LOVE music? Here's another chance to contribute to the CFIS community. The CCB is looking to form the Band Parents Committee, to assist with band activities and general support of the school's music programme. We are looking for CFIS parents representing Grades 5 to 9. Gala Chair Needed
The CFIS Community Builders (CCB) is seeking an individual to chair the Special Events (Fundraising) Committee starting in the new year. At present, this committee's main focus is the annual fundraising gala. As you will remember, the most recent gala took place on November 5, and was extremely capably chaired by Maritza Leach. Safety & Security at CFIS
The CCB Administrative Procedures Committe is working on reviewing the school's Administrative Procedures. Initially they are focusing our efforts on security and safety issues – security and safety of the students, faculty and premises. We would like to engage you in this process. Do you think the existing measures are adequate? Are they enforced? Do your children feel safe? Students in Preschool to Grade 6 are invited to wear pyjamas for the last day of school on Thursday, December 22.

Junior/Senior High
Good Luck Vikings!
Three of the four Vikings basketball teams are in action tonight. The 7/8 boys are at Master's and the 8/9 boys and 8/9 girls are at home vs. Edge and the Calgary Islamic School respectively. Everyone is welcome to come and watch!
Junior/Senior High Presentation Tomorrow
Students in Grades 7 to 11 will be participating in a Spanish lipsync competition tomorrow afternoon. All students are expected to attend.
